After Iron Man 1, I was REALLY excited to see Iron Man 2.

I consider myself quite a movie buff and I am a real comic book nerd so this was right up my alley. I always get nervous when comic book movies get a sequal etc., because sometimes they sell out and just want to make money... at the expense of making a good quality movie.

While the movie was fun to watch...... it was quite weak. Iron Man 1 was WAY better.

The beginning was extremely slow. The action/ fight scenes were not enough and lacking. The "bad guy/guys," were WAY too easily defeated.

I'm not saying don't bother to see it...... but it was WAY too hyped up and I found it a major let down.

Don't get me wrong.... there were a couple really cool things in the movie:
Captain America reference
the suit case Iron Man suit
War Machine
Thor refernece
Avengers reference

But.... the couple really cool parts were not enough to make it a great movie.

I'm sorry to say this but it was a let down. People may disagree with me..... but go see it for yourself and let me know what you thought.

I thought the first Iron Man was alright, nothing too special. I did think that it set up the next movie very nicely.
That said, after seeing the squeal tonight, I was disappointed. It was too much like the first movie, except it set up the avengers movie(s) coming up.
There were some cool parts as you said, the Captain America reference was kinda funny. A lot of one liners through out the movie.

A let down, yes. But I'm not going to say don't see it. Its another popcorn flick, shut off your brain for 2 hours, and watch. Nothing more.

lol well i wouldnt think that going to see an iron man movie that your going to be challenged intellectually. i love comic books too and the movies are usually just the basic story with a few things plucked from here and there throughout the characters universe and the story usually completely skewed and consolidated. cant have too high expectations going to see a comic book movie...at least it'll be better than daredevil

I saw it last night at midnight and I was rooting for the bad guy to tell the truth, lol I felt for him :) And did you stay through the entire credits to see the tidbit at the end? Leads up to some really big things especially if you saw all the way through the first as well.
