well my boss got 6 new 2011 PETERBILT 389 a couple weeks ago and i was hoping to get one! and well....i got one..LOL and here she is! it's only got 89 miles on it!!

Now my old truck i had was a PETERBILT 379 and when i got in that it had only 4,000 miles and friday when i got out of it it had 330,000 miles on it!

i like that #24 licesne plate. sweet truck 16spd? i was reading a thing in car and driver abt driving a stcik big rig...i was lost double clutching hi-lo gears wow holy crap that alot of foot work

most of the time I float through not using the clutch. In simpler terms its called "splitting gears".
Double clutching was more with the old "Super 10" transmissions

ohhh that makes it a little simpler lol they didnt give no-clutching as a method of shifting

thanks! it's a 10spd and you get used to it but sometimes i shift with out the clutch

you still have to double clutch with any new or old big truck but you can allso shift with out it too

Bahhh powershifting is where it's at... the only time I use the clutch in our 8 speed trucks is 1st gear and to downshift. But with new trucks, its a very good idea to double-clutch to break it in.

Yeah it rides awsome!!! and im sure it set the boss man back alittle but we have about 30 trucks and when he buys new trucks he get sells the oldest ones

what engine is hiding in there? im not sure i like those headlights petes been using, i saw them on a dump truck today and didnt like them. besides that, shes pretty

Thanks! it has a CAT C-15 under the hood,and the head lights are only on a 389,the 389 replaced the pete 379 back in '07
