sorry if this is the wrong section not really sure where to post it but i figure you guys know the answer....my dad has a 199x bayliner and the boat is in north carolina at a shop near our house, he took it to them to get a tune up and the guy said that the mounting flange on the bottom of the carburetor is starting to crack and said that the boat runs fine as of now but sometime in the future it will break...my question is is there any difference between the carburetors for boats and cars? sorry if this is in the wrong section/retarded question just figured i'd ask

I do not know about that, but the "carb flange" can be replaced at a relatively minor price. It is actually the throttle body.

Yes carbs for boats need to meet coast guard regulations. Summit has a marine section.
