Well i took the car to the gym this morning..fired right up, ran like a top to and from, even stopped for gas. Came inside for an hour went back out to hit Wegmans and all I got was a click. Radio and windows all still work normal..I have a new battery but tested it anyway and it was fine...voltage is around 10-11 when I tried to turn it over...tapped the starter then tried to restart, sound like I got a little more out of it(but not much)...Im thinking starter, what ya guys think?

sounds like starter/cables/solenoid. a shop can do an amperage draw test on it.

AAA did one, the guy that did it wasnt a mechanic but he said he tinkered and thats what he thought it was.

Check the connections. Its a newwer battery, possible that the bolt is loose. If the cables wiggle, grab an 8mm and snug them down!

Starter, but don't get a rebuilt. It you have the change, get a BRAND NEW unit. There is no standard for who rebuilds them and NEW is NEW. I went thru 2 rebuilts that gave me problems within 2 weeks and had a NEW unit installed and no more problems (that was 4 years ago).

when it went "click" did all the dash lights go out? If so I would start looking at/tightening connections. If not, starter.

Does it even try to turn over? If not, check the ignition fuse and see if it's blown.
Double check battery connections as mentioned already and replace starter if all looks good.

Good call on the ignition fuse, I didnt think about that...ill check it out tommorow...battery connections are fine and like I said I already bought a new hi torque starter so ill probably replace that anyway.

Where did the click come from? Could also be your ignition switch. Do your dash lights go off?
