They aren't castings, so it's probably their jigs that are off, but that doesn't matter- they are still inconsistent.

Save up for LPPs, or get pacesetters.

As some of us have found out, not only are they off occasionally, their primaries are tiny...

lol okay...just wondering, is there any real difference between SLP headers and pacesetters cuz i cant justify spending $1000 for headers lol

1.5" is small. Good catch.

save up for lpp's... when your pacesetters start rusting into nothing youll be hating your self and spending money twice...

As will your fancy headers...

but unlike your fancyness, Jethots come with a lifetime warranty on their coatings... sooooo you lose.

I haven't looked at prices, but I would be curious to see the total price of buying a set of painted pacesetters, blasting em, and then jet hot coating em.

Save for LPPs, the pacesetter will fall apart. I was just about to take a pic of my pacesetters today and post it...the coating is basically gone and they are rusting bad.

I would pay the extra bit for stainless just so that I wouldnt have to remove my jet hots to be shipped out and recoated.

Not like you haven't had the chance to send your headers out yet...:rofl:

Three times now?

But yea, pacesetters will not agree with NJ daily driving...

Turn around time for the coating would probably be like 3 weeks. It would be a waste of money to send my headers out. I would much rather put it towards a set of new stainless.

Actually, Jet Hot blasts headers for you, and last time I talked to them about having headers blasted, turnaround time was ~3 days.

Yeah when I sent my G8 headers into Jet-Hot they told me they charge an extra 50 bucks if they need to blast your headers to remove any previous coatings or just clean them up. Their turn around time is quick too. They tell you a month but my Firebird headers took only about a week and a half, hopefully I'll have my G8 tubes back next week!

Yeah but who wants to have to remove their headers to send them to Jet Hot every time they start to rust?! Get the stainless LPPs and have them coated. You'll never have to worry about rust. Do it right the first time, IMO.

I've had both painted MACs and ceramic coated Jet Hots, and both looked like ASS after less than a year of DD. I put the LPPs on my new 383 and there's no way in hell I would go back to a mild steel header - not a chance.
