You'd never believe what I paid for 20 pads. 4 calipers and 4 BRAND NEW rotors...

I wanted to go that route, but they wouldn't of fitted under my ZR1's, so I stuck with C5's. Speaking if which, my rebuild kit should be coming today :D

If anyone is interested I will now have a set of C5 Z06 front calipers pads and stoptech rotors forsale... Brand new units not rebuilt. and the pads and rotors have about 1200 miles on them... I would say 95% pad life left :D

Dood those V brakes are a hell of a caliper... What do you plan on putting them on? What size rotor do you plan on using? And what wheel and tire set up does it look like you will be going with?

4th gen. Gonna do C6 Z06 rotors like what you got. Supposedly the 4th gens are heavily rear biased, so these should even it out.

I can't wait to see your car when its done! It's gonna look sharp! You got big enough wheels to clear those? You need at least 18s.

Oh man! Try some test fits first. There are a few guys here with assorted wheels.

Or sell em to me! I bet my wheels clear!

Need 18's at least Im sure?
Yeah, Z55's are worlds better then the stock 10 inch rotor that came standard. I couldnt imagine going from 10 to 14 inch rotor!
Ill have to wait till I hit it big, then Ill snag a set of ZR1 brakes...ohhh baby! Gunna need Dubs for it to fit though.

Werent there a few 18in. rims that came on C5's?

On the rears, they were 18. Fronts were 17 though.

Dude go big or go home. Get new wheel studs while you are at it, some nice wheels, and spacers if necessary.

What wheels do you have that you think fit? I just found out the C5DD style from OE wheels dont fit...

Looks like Im going to go with the nitto NT05's because they have the dragradial and non drag radial styles so I can run the stiffer tire up front for a little better cornering...

I was told buy the company that sold me the wheels that they clear C6Z brakes... Until I get the wheels at my house and try them on my car.... Im not going to say ANYTHING is 100%... HAHA! Ive had way too many Eff ups and $hitty situations with my trans and stuff! I cant imagine this going flawlessly... But we will see! :D

If they don't fit, you may be able to turn around and make your money back selling the rims you know. Get the rims first before ordering tires, cause you might put yourself in more of a hole if they dont fit and now you have tires to match your non fitting rims lol. I had my tires from tire reck in a matter of days, so don't rush yourself.
