Why not do both. I need something to drive while TA is down. The noises are starting to get annoying. So now I have to time to pull it apart and bit worry about finishing it fast

Import cruisers are better engineered. you couldnt pay me to ride a harley they are less american then any of the metric cruisers

My Victory was born in Iowa or Wisconsin. One of those two, thats American enough.

Congrats man, I'd love to have a bike but I saw some stuff today that convinces me it's just not safe to have one in the area. People don't watch what they're doing when they drive. Enjoy it and keep safe bro.

looks good all black, i still hate windshields on bikes, they not only look gay but take away most of the fun.

Sometimes I miss having one. It did make riding a lot more comfortable, but theres no way in hell a windshield would look good on my bike. 8-)

I like my harley, ive ridden plenty of imports and they are all the same. I just like how my bike has a huge aftermarket and plenty of backing from one of the oldest still running companies in the US.

not all the same by any means (unless you're talking about cruisers because i have no experience with them lol)

I dont hate harleys just hate the hype. They have made in usa on every harley product then you take it out of the box and its stamped made in china. Plus i saw my dad go through 3 motors on his harley. Plus you pay half the price for a metric cruiser for the same stuff. Not to mention most metric cruisers are water cooled.

As for the winsheild yes it does look gay but i bought the bike and it was on there. Havent decided if im gonna leave it or not but it is nice on rt 55 going to work

Congrats man! I'm half and half on the windshield. It doesn't look as bad on your bike as it does on most.

i agree Harleys are a bit hyped up, and the cruisers are a bit higher priced compared to the imports. but you can take my bike, which cost $6500 and turn it into a small cruiser for less than 2 grand, bags, windshield, highway pegs and bars etc. but, in my case i want my bike to be a get around town, low, loud and fast toy.

Not to offend you, but seeing a sportster with bags and windscreen, plus the little tid bits that make a "cruser" is .. eh .. hideous. And why buy a bike just to turn it into something else?

I'm not knocking Harleys as I said in other threads. I actually still want a softtail someday, but you can get a metric bike in that price range you mentioned that is low, fast, loud and gets you around town.

im not saying id do any of that to my bike, my point was that you could have a harley "cruiser" for the same price as an import. it would definitely be hideous though like you say.
