Hey guys,
I bought two new Bosch oxygen sensors for my header project on my Lt1. After buying them, I have read many comlaints saying that over time, they cause the engine to run rich. I spent a lot of money on these, and am really regretting getting them. I'm not sure if I can return them...Do you think I should try and find a set of ACdelcos? I'd really rather just use them, but if they're going to cause problems, obviously I don't want anything to do with them.
Thanks!

Where did you buy them?
I always heard that they are tuned to make the car run leaner then normal. They used to make claims that switching to them would save you up to 30% in gas milage?
AC Delco is just a name. Might be able to get a Denso for a little less.

That is what I have always read, but at this point, most if not all parts stores will not take em back, used or not, so I would throw em in the car..
That or throw em on Ebay/CL etc...

I got them from H&H auto parts in Vernon (probably have no idea what that is if your not from around there).
If these make my car run leaner than normal I am going to be PO'd :-x
I don't get why they would be any different than any other oxygen sensor out there....they should be a direct factory replacement.

I dunno how to explain it, just in general LT1s do not respond well to em, but again this is all interwebz hear say, and Al Gore nonsense.
Throw em in, and keep an eye on things, I doubt they WON'T work, you just "may" have an issue with em.

Alright, i'll give them a shot. I specifically asked the guy at the parts store about problems with them....he said he hasn't heard anything, but they are under warranty if I do have a problem.
How do I tell if they're not reading right? This may be a dumb question, but what does BLMs mean? I've seen a few people talking about it through my searches on O2 sensors, and my scanner displays that for the live engine data. I never understood what those values meant, and I feel like it would be really helpful haha
I've learned alot through working on my car, but have ALOT more to learn

Wow, both are really good links. Definitly going to start reading up on it in between the work for my mechanical engineering classes (kill me now haha).
Thanks for your help with everything Lt1s1ow. You always seem to respond to my questions, and are always really helpful. Your the man  haha
