I test drove an 01 camaro z28 automatic that's for sale at Cherry Hill Nissan today, first time driving an ls1 fbody and my first time driving a t-top car and I gotta say it was absolutely awesome. The car is all black, bone stock, and has 109,000 miles on it, and they want almost ten grand for it! They wouldn't come down much on the price, So I had to walk away. But damn, awesome car, I got the itch so bad for a new f-body.

yeah the salesman was making up so much about the car it made me lulz a lot. He was calling it an SS, talking about how its got a 302, told me how its completely different than a trans am.. i gave up and started letting him say whatever he wanted.

Ugh, I hate salespeople like that. I would have continued to argue until he learned to shut his trap.
It's bad enough when they lie about a car, but how stupid do you have to be to keep it up when someone who obviously knows about the car points out that you are wrong?

Was that 109,000 correct? If that's so then the car had to smell because you would have to LIVE in it and drive non-stop 24/7! That's like almost 10,000 a month or 2,500 miles a week. Let's see if the service records show an oil change every TWO WEEKS! They had to steal that car and if so, every maintenance item on that car should be changed i.e. belt, brakes, rotors, fluids, front end suspension, struts etc. Let the dealer show you the service records and SHOW ME THE CARFAX.

its 9 years old.... 12k miles a year is normal, or 1k miles per month

looks like a very nice car..they detailed the hell out of it. but i would not pay that much for it..
may i ask why you are looking at dealers and not private sellers? reason im asking is because im going to be in your position in the winter time after i graduate, looking at ls1's

I had my 2000 SS with 56K miles for sale for $8900 so that should tell you how bad they were overpriced. You can't compare KBB on these cars because people are willing to pay whatever they want for a clean car. But most of the LS1 cars I see for sale are overpriced pretty bad.

most LS1 cars are over priced by the dealers. there is a red WS6 Ram Air with 69k for sale in Toms River. its 5950 but carrys a salvage title but has been repaired correctly.

the reason most dealers jack up their tags is because they dont have the full cash amount to buy a car privately so they take a few grand, take the hit price wise and end up with a small 250 a month payment to get the car they want....yes at a premium, but gets people what they want without having the full amount.

and you know how? what was damaged so bad they totaled it?
salvage title is a value killer extraordinaire.
