Its my neighbor's car, i told him id look at it to see whats up with it.

The problem is that it was working fine one day, now the compressor isnt kicking on when i turn the switch for the ac.

so far i did a few things to help rule out stuff

current problem- only blows warm air/compressor not kicking on

tested the wires going to the AC clutch. had 12+ volts when switched on

i put 12 volts from a battery to the AC clutch and it kicked on.
while it was running, i checked the refrigerent pressure. 45-50psi. not low, not overfilled and it was blowing cold air.

tried doing that old trick with the paper clip in the pressure switch to jump it but that didnt work

fuses were good

is there a relay or something i missed? he doesnt have a book for it, so that doesnt help matters much lol. any info would be appreciated. thanks in advance!

Constant Control Relay Module (CCRM)

The CCRM controls the A/C clutch and engine cooling fan motor operation based on signals received from the A/C cycling switch, the A/C pressure transducer, and the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

The CCRM deactivates the A/C clutch when signaled by the PCM. The A/C clutch is deactivated in this manner under the following conditions:

* Engine start-up.
* Wide Open Throttle (WOT).
* During engine low idle conditions.
* Excessively high engine temperature.

Its mounted towards the driverside headlight, bout 6-12 inches back from it.

Jen's sister had a problem with her Mercury Ron. Apparently it is a common problem dealing with the harness on the low or high pressure switch. it either corrodes or something. just needed to bypass it with a new wire and it worked.
