who's got smartphones and what do you got.
do some early shopping for one.

I currently have a Palm Zire 72 and love it. It's not a smartphone, but i would like all the scheduling, to-do lists and accessibility to applications.

I know that Palm just got bought out by HP and their future is a little hairy so i was thinking about going with the I phone.

Just seeing what you guys prefer and why.

I have the Iphone 3gs with the new software on it. I love it and have no complaints. No its not the best on the market but it is easy to use. If your gonna go with an iphone i suggest getting the 3gs model it seem the the 4 is having alot of problems. Mine will do everything that will it just doesnt have the extra camera and some other odds and ends.

Verizon- Droid X. Upgraded from the Motorola Droid. Best phone I have used by far. Tons of apps, tons of bells and whistles, Nice big screen, long battery life, great call quality, lightweight for its size.

Basically for Verizon the Droid line is the best hands down.
AT&T is the iPhone 3Gs or 4
T-mobile/Sprint have crappy coverage from my experience and are lacking in the cool phones market.

Blackberrys are all crap in my opinion,

BB is good for business people now but are falling behind in the smart phone wars. I love my X. Only downside is battery but i used mine all day at work. If i stop playing games on it i could probably have go a day wihout chargin it.

Do any of these fancy new phones handle email as well as a BB? that is my favorite part of my phone, it corrals numerous email addresses in one place for me. I have not physically logged into yahoo mail in 2 years but I have 3 active accounts.

Yes, you can have them all forwarded to an account on the phone, or just acess them from the phone. I have a google account on the phone, but also use it to check my two school accounts.

Droid is been awesome so far.

iPhone lets you add as many emails as you want. The iPhone is so versitile, I don't know why I didn't get mine sooner.

You can add all the email accounts you watn to a Droid.
There are widgets that funnel all your mesages into one deal, but I have my gmail account (which it makes you sign up for when you first start the phone) and I added my aol and yahoo email. My phone also has the ability to access corp emails.

iPhone 4 here ... no complaints, not even the signal-loss. Battery life is pretty good, unless you download 'Angry Birds', then kiss battery life good-bye :)

Apps are much faster than on previous models. Both cameras are great! The outside HD camera quality is incredible. The VGA front-facing camera is very useful for self photos, and for FaceTime*.

* - Sucks FaceTime is wiFi only, unless you use My3G when you jailbreak the phone :) or else use Fring to do video chat with Skype, AIM, MSN, Yahoo, etc..
