 just watched my car pull away! it's headed to california. 12 years of building and playing with the car has come to an end. the buyer drove out here from cali and now he's on his way home now. i thought my car would end up locally and i'd be able to see her again but it did'nt work out that way. i must say that i now have the largest stack of hundred dollar bills i've ever seen

oh well time for another toy!!

Bill, there is a saying almost as old as you: You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have the facts of life. The facts of life.

Sorry to hear that but if you're happy and have a pocket full of money, there isnt much to be upset about! I completely understand what you are doing, especially if you are aiming for an 08 Vette. I hate looking at all that money sitting in my trailer and not being able to drive it. If I could do it all over, I would have made mine a street car for sure(or just bought one). Good luck with your search and keep us updated.

Greaaaat...now I have to look forward to you and Jon talking about Vettes and how great they are.

Jk, I've driven plenty of C5s and a few C6s. Great cars and a lot of fun to drive. Good luck!

Yeah, this place is full of arrogant pricks anymore! I find it amazing how many people still drive across the country with a wad of cash. The guy from TX who bought my 70 SS396 showed up with cash!

this guy brought a certified check. found out that it would still take a week before the money was available for me. so he went and found a branch that he has an account with and came back with the cash.

i sure wouldn't drive across country with that kinda cash on me.

lol don't worry about me becoming an arrogant prick. i may step away from the vette because their pretty stern on their price. $38,500 is where their at. so i'll wait it out a little while and see if they budge. if someone else buys it..oh well theres plenty more cars to look into.
