I'm sure plenty of you are in the same boat. The metal line that runs from the radiator neck to the coolant overflow reservoir, GM p/n 10188032, has been discontinued for quite some time and I can't locate one anywhere. I would like to meet the brain surgeon GM engineer that designed the metal tube to go under the battery!!! It is now very common for 4th Gen F-Bodies to develope a leak in that line under the battery, from battery acid, which causes the low coolant light to come on and stay on. Does anyone know where to locate a replacement tube. The junkyard won't work cause almost all of the junked cars lines already have holes in them. Is there a company that makes a reproduction part??? Any ideas??? Does someone have a spare stashed away??? Any help appreciated......THANKS

Why not just use heater hose?

I believe it has to do with the vacuum that is created between the radiator and the tank. The rubber hose would collapse.

Thanks for the reply but what I need is not overflow tank itself, it's the metal tube the connects to the neck of the radiator, right under the cap, and goes down under the battery tray to the overflow tank. Do you have the metal tube??? If so, are you going to the show Saturday??? Either way maybe we can meet up.

Yea, I have the whole contraption.

And stock is a rubber tube from over flow nipple on radiator to the metal line under the battery....

you can definitely just use rubber line. i would suggest getting some metal tubing to run under the battery and throw a couple 90*'s in it just like stock. i had gotten the line a while back though and covered the metal section in rubber line :)
