well, for anyone that is intrested and does not know, according to someone on TGO, intellitronix is in the process of bringing back the 91-92 digital gauge cluster that was previously sold by nordskog. still awaiting on a release date but should be close.

I've never seen them before. Would be nice if I could fit them in my Trans Am somehow. I've been through 3 different speedometers, the little plastic gear for the odometer keeps breaking.

i have Nordskog digi gauges on my iroc...they look great, but a few things annoy me..maybe once or twice a year..the gauges spazz out and go on the fritz and wont reset until i pull over, turn the car off, and restart it. the biggest issue with this is if i dont pull over and turn off the car within a minute or so, the odometer resets itself to some random number. really ****ing annoying. that, and my temp gauge is approx 37 degrees off at all times according to multiple temp tests..

in conclusion, they look badass, but could perform better...

Hrmmmm....is this a drop in unit? This might be a better road to take instead of cutting up my 87's Dash.

3RD GEN CAMARO DIGITAL GAUGES
Part # 4003 82-89 Camaro
Part # 4005 90-92 Camaro
Other years coming soon!

Direct factory replacement!

Like you'll install them....

direct factory replacement would be odd, considering that is a digital display, and Camaro's till 90 had mechanical hook ups. Wouldn't be a drop in unit. Also, what other modifications must be done to make it work?

I cant seem to find it for sale anywhere. Ill keep looking on TGO.

I think by bolt-in it means it fits in the factory dash w/o modification. Not that you don't have to do anything to hook it up. just the speedo is mechanical so you just need a speedo driver, like this one he includes in his universal setup. You'd have to call him and see how you'd hook it up for your setup

dakota digital makes one too

http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=product/product_id=168/category_id=422/home_id=-1/mode=prod/prd168.htm

here are the instructions for the DD version
http://www.dakotadigital.com/pdf/vfd3-g.pdf

The DD version seems like a cooler unit and they have been in business for years.

Performance readings
· High speed recall. This is reset at power up and can be manually reset.
· High rpm recall. This is reset at power up and can be manually reset.
· 0-60 mph (0-100kmh) time.
· ¼ mile time.
· ¼ mile end speed. This is reset when the ¼ mile time restarts.

there is a a decent amount of wiring involved

I have the DD THX analog gauges in the 69 hopefully you guys will be able to see them next weekend, from what I have seen and heard DD has a great rep

I dont like the DD set up, but the other one looks better overall. I like how the lights to indicate speed and rpm are in an arc, not in a line .

Till 89.... 90-92 had the same dash.

But Im thinking next year I'm visiting This page right here (http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/gaugepanels.aspx) You can use any gauge you want.

BigAls87Z28

I think you can get it a few bucks cheaper than what Hawks has it for.
I still kinda like the digi lay out...

You should probably pretend like you are going to buy it.

You should probably just pretend like it drives and sit in it making vroom noises while I tow it to mufflex.

Mufflex wil lulz at that.
Drop in would be nice...gotta ask return policy.

By drop in, they forgot to highlight the whole "wire it all together" part.

Back to plan 0.

Wiring is easy as long as it retains stock sending units

did you expect total plug and play?

When I asked them what they ment by plug and play, they said it drops right in like the OE one. None of that is tru.

Or how header companies describe the install process being as simple as just throwing the pipes into the engine bay?

Or (sorry Scott) Year One's 17" GM 5 spoke rally wheels that can't fit on cars that originally had GM 5 spoke rallys?

When I hear "drop in and go" I expect a little wiring. I knew that I would have to hook up the VSS and some other wiring, but not have to rewire the whole dash.

How is that an excuse? I have legit problems, and without towing it to several places to fix it before I have the exhaust done, it is not going to just get done.
