On Halloween I went to a party at my sister's. My cousin who I haven't seen in over a year and her husband were there. My girlfriend and her were talking the whole night, so when they were leaving we walked out with them. We were by my car and my cousin says all excited, "I didn't know you got a new car! What is it, an Audi?" I told her, "No, it's a Buick." To which she replies with a deflated, "Oh." Guess it did not really impress her

...and that right there is what Buick has to overcome. Best of luck to them, they're fighting a huge uphill battle.

Yeah, but shocking moments like that will make people change their perception.
Audi was once a subpar brand, with cars that could kill people. Took them 15 years till they got into contention for a premium luxury brand.

Buick just needs to keep sticking to it, with quality product and good dealers.

The dealers are what is key. If Buick wants to compete with MB and BMW their dealers need to be top notch. A clean, professional looking showroom, Wi-Fi, a service department that spares no expense in customer service etc. Basically everything my dealership doesn't have lmao

You bring up a good point Al. Word of mouth travels far too. Once a person sees a car guy driving a certain brand, their image of the brand changes as well. That spreads too with people saying, "well my friend drives a Buick, and he knows his stuff, you should check it out!" Then it spreads exponentially with hearsay, and possibly more people liking, and buying the car.

Im not even gunna try to compare them to Benz. How about just a VW dealer! GMC and Buick have some of the highest transaction prices and the dealer should reflect that.
