I have been told by several of my friends out here that the cheap ebay headers are good for LS1 cars. LT1 on the other hand, stay away. I dont know why but LT1s seem to like higher quality unlike LS1s that thrive off of any headers.

With any header you get what you paid for. For example like pacesetters, just because hey were first to make them for LS1 cars doesn't make them any good.

lpp was charging $600 for their headers and the ebay seller ap1ap2 iirc sells the exact same ones for just over $300.

they look like nice headers but are only 1 3/4 while the others are stepped to 1 7/8. i haven't heard about these obx ones personally though

1 7/8 would not be necessary unless your making gobs of power

I have a set of ebay headers on my car. They fit great and so far I have no issues with them (maybe I got lucky). I just put a set of OBX Headers, cats, and their y pipe on my brother in laws 07 TBSS and they fit excellent and seem to perform as well. Just my .02

I'm by no means an expert on them, only going by the internet, some have had great luck with them, some have had them and they fit like ass....so it seems like it's a roll of the dice to me.

I have Ebay longtubes on my LS1 with a TSP catted Y pipe

They look good, fit good, tuck up better than my hookers, and won't rust. The flanges are thick, welds are good, o2 bungs are in a good location, etc. I hacked off the AIR/EGR fittings and had a friend weld the holes shut so now they're "race style." I will NEVER buy painted headers (or even coated for that matter) for a car that will see daily driver duty in NJ ever again.

For $200 SHIPPED I would not hesitate to buy another set of these, I will never buy a $500+ set of headers unless I'm building a garage queen/showcar

in what sense did they not fit? would a tubular k member have helped?

It was on his 'vette and it was a catback ;)

The ebay headers don't typically play well with stock k-members. Going tubular will save you some weight off the nose and allow more room.

I have pacesetters on my car and no issues. Im sure If i spent 1200 on Kooks i would get a little more power, but im happy with the pacesetters. Install was a breeze and they look good.

If the car is a DD or weekend warrior the ebay longtubes are hard to beat. With the extra $800 I saved over going with a set of Kooks or ARH, I was able to buy my LS6 Intake, 98mm lid, 85mm maf and some suspension parts.

Be prepared for them to look like crap soon after you bring them back to NJ. Arizona does have the rust-free thing going for it.

theres a company called ssac(ss auto chrome) they make headers, and i know from the grandprixforums those guys love them for the gtp's

i believe that ss auto chrome was once partnered with lpp and thats why you can score the lpp knock-offs from ebay for cheapppp

I will miss the rust free zone, but the headers are coated. Should last a little while before going to crap. And since they are pacesetters I can always pick another set up for under $500 in a few years if need be.

i had obx headers on my civic, not sure how they are for f-bodies but on my civic they must have been warped or something because everytime i replaced the header gaskets they would start leaking less than a month later

Check the feedback on the seller and make a choice. I got my Stall Converter on Ebay and it is great.. Been a blast to drive and The car runs really well at the track with it. Alot of people said that I would get what I paid for. Well I got a really good deal and the car runs like a champ for being a 15 yr old stock LT1 with a 3200 stall ,coil, Ram Air, and catback.. If I had to do it all over again I would buy another Revmaxx converter but probably get a 3600 this time around..

On a stock K member, you may need to grind/cut around the passenger side primary.. it may hit.

Also, the steering column will need to be slid over, which is a simple matter of loosing the bolts, sliding it over, and re tighten. For 310 shipped, you cannot beat these headers IMO.

As far as being "too big" for your application, I ran the same time I did with pacesetters.. so not sure how I am losing HP/Tq there...

I run my wires under the headers with no issue and spark plug access is much better that the pacesetters. The header flanges are 1/2 inch and the end holes are slotted so it makes install a breeze. The collectors are actually welded by someone that isn't blind and there is no coating to fall off after a year of driving. If you take the time to work over your engine harness, you will not need 02 extensions anymore either.

The one downside I have found is the Y pipe supplied is garbage, I think cause they use the same one for LT1/LS1 setups, but small price to pay. I got my headers from AP1AP2, and am very pleased with them.

I saw these stalls and was looking into them but, couldn't really find much on them. I know there big in the diesel world and all of ls1 tech is on yank's balls so all you hear is get a yank be done. You like the stall?, any issues so far? I realize we have different motors but just wanted to get some feedback on the design, install, how its holding up.
Sorry for the hijack i've been looking for someone using a rev max for awhile.

Any stainless steel long tube type header you find on eBay are LPPs.

I managed to get my hands on the Gen 1 LPPs and they fit with no problems whatsoever.

I am gonna disagree on that one, I think Josh (jerzlt1) bought a set and they were not 1 7/8 primaries, I think they were smaller than pacesetters. I do not remember the exact vendor he bought his from though at the moment.

The guy who started LPP sold the jig and everything with it. They are all made on the same jig, just some with different tubing sizes. They all come from the same place.

That's what I meant. :)

if i'm not mistaken, the ones that SAC makes for the GTP are knock-off SLP's {i had gtps since 05, until just 2 weeks ago}. The only problem's i've heard about them are the crossovers not fitting right over the trans. same problems as the pacesetters {on the gtp, they aren't the best}
