NJFBOA Member Location Map

After reading this thread (http://www.njfboa.org/forums/showthread.php?t=53855) I decided to follow through and make a map using one of the suggested sites (thanks again Knipps). The site can appear a little complicated at first as there are many features, but placing a marker on the map is a pretty straightforward process.

How to place a marker on the map:

- Click one of the above links to get to the NJFBOA Map (either works)
- At the top of the map click on the "Additions" tab, and choose "Add Marker - Simple" from the drop down list.
- The key required for you to place a marker is "njfboa"
- Enter your NJFBOA Username in the "Entry Name" field
- For the location, you can either enter an address in the space provided (full address, city, or zip code are all accepted), or you can choose to manually place the marker on the map. Please list only your primary address (Military address is acceptable as well). We don't need a map full of vacation home locations :)
- Please keep the default red marker color.
- Click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the window.

Don't feel obligated to place the marker at your exact address, but we do ask that you at least keep it in your neighborhood.

slim to 100% like Justin said, you don't have to put it at your exact location. hell you don't have to do it at all if you don't want. i think this thing is pretty cool though :lol:

can it be incorporated into vbulletin somehow? or make a quick link up on the header like the store etc? or even under our username when we post like fquick and aim if the person so desires and linking it to our location on the map? maybe even making the Location: under our name the hotlink?

This is something that we will probably look into as long as the majority of users take this seriously. I already deleted multiple markers that were placed in random oceans. :roll:

right on, you could also mark the monthly meet locations and use a different color. then you can easily see directions to the place and how far it is. can you filter the tack marks to show say only the yellow ones?

Need just do to it since he created it. It's possible to delete them but not move them from what I can see.
