I've had it with Nero, it auto-orders all of my files when I try to burn MP3 discs and it throws the song order out of whack. I can find an option to stop any type of auto-order so I'm done with this program..

So what does everyone use to burn CD's and DVD's OR do you know how to fix my dilemma in Nero?

Thanks guys :)

what is it doing, ordering them in alpha order?

Just any order it wants really, some folders the songs are in order, others they are not(in Nero) even though in the actual Windows folder they're all in perfect order.

It's also auto-arranging the folders too, like for example I was burning a disc with all of the Staind albums, from oldest to newest and its arranging the folder order too.

It's pissing me off lol

I think you might find it is either ordering them by date or name. And how they sort is based on how the program looking at them reads them.

Here's the thing, I can't change anything in Nero. Like once I put the folder in Nero however it orders ii is how it stays. I can't move the files around in a folder and if I have multiple folders I can't change the folder order. However Nero reads it is how it stays.

So with that said, any other decent programs out there?

i think you are fighting a losing battle, it's not how it burns it is how the program using the files reads it. I'm guessing maybe a car cd player that reads mp3 discs. Mine reads file name. the manual might tell you how it reads.

you can try burrrn or ImgBurn or InfraRecorder

Windows?

I haven't used 3rd party software to burn anything but a DVD in several years. I burn all data / mp3 / audio CDs just using Windows XP's built in burning capability.
