Just heard the news. Some of my favorite movies of all time are the Naked Gun movies and Airplane.

Never a dull moment from Leslie Nielsen. A lot of people forget that he was a great dramatic actor before Airplane!. Always one of my favorites.

No, but Leslie Nielsen is.

Got the spelling from the OP's thread title and assumed he was right.

He was in Forbidden Planet which was one of my favorite Scifi movies of all time. I read that his first comedy was Airplane.. Thats insane. 40 yrs of Drama and Scifi movies then 20 years of Comedies..

He said he always wanted to do comedy, but at the time when he was doing drama & sci-fi guys like Dick Van Dyke and Jerry Lewis were the big comedic actors and he didn't think he could compete with them.
