View Full Version : WTB 4wd/awd/fwd "beater" under 2k - BOUGHT
I need an AUTOMATIC vehicle very soon, and must be 4wd or awd,
fwd isn't the greatest but i may consider it.
i need something that is ready to go and reliable,
something that needs nothing mechanically.
Heat and wipers MUST work and tires must be decent.
and also, the interior can't be trashed.
Don't care if it wont/can't pass NJ inspection as long as its safe and reliable.
Im looking to spend up to $2,000.
(maybe i even got something you want as a trade, lol)
Let me know what you have, details and pics.
I want to buy something before Christmas/New years.

Wha happened to the ZR2 you picked up??
Wha happened to the ZR2 you picked up??
its up here in ny, but i need to bring my V down to NJ next chance i get and leave it there so it can go to the body shop. BUT what i drive back up must be auto because in a few weeks im getting surgery on my arm and wont be able to drive stick for several months. so getting back up to base is the big part. Im looking at an 04 Jag x-type sport, more than 2k, but would be perfect and then in the spring id let my mom drive it when i can get the V back. i just have car add as we all know...
(oh and i also have a 95 jimmy in nj but dont have the time to go through/over it to make sure itll make the 5 hour nj-ny drive.)

Ah, I gotcha. Do you know if the Jimmy down here needs any major work? Maybe I could check it over for you or something before you come down, or I could help you go over it before you need to go back. Are you going to be home between Xmas and New Years?
im just selling the jimmy to my neighbor, easier that way, possibly needs pitman arm, o2 sensors, driver window put on track etc.
and ill be home next weekend(18-19th), but then prob not again till after my surgery in Jan.

Sounds good Paul. I was thinking if you were gonna be home that week between Xmas and New Years I could help you out since I'm off from work but that's not fitting with your schedule. I'll keep my ears open about any reliable vehicles in this area for you!
I might be selling my Saturn SW2 If I find a decent truck soon. It is ugly as hell but dead reliable. I bought it because I was driving 100+ miles a day and now I'm back local. Probably ask around $500 b/o
TTT, just found out my ZR2 needs a whole new front diff... whole yoke section is torn away from the main case.
EDIT: Just bought a 2001 Durango. This thread can be closed now..
