When I'm driving there is this annoying squeak coming from behind me. I'm 99% sure it has to do with the plastic piece in the hatch/trunk that holds the rear speaker on the driver's side. Anyone experience this? How do I shut it up?

The only think i can say is mine makes new noises all the time. I fixed the heat sheild rattles and the rear trunk panel but now i've got a new rattle in the back when she is cold. I've yet to track that one down. i'm sure other people have better input, but i wish you luck lol

Also when i had a really annoying squeak it was from the bushing on the top of my spring. the bolts had backed off and the bushing was moving all around.

You can put foam around and in between the plastic bolts that hold the panel in place. It may be the rubber hats that seat the rear springs. When it gets cold out they tend to squeak. I grease the hats once a year and the noise went away.

I found out what's squeaking. It's the rear seat latch on the driver's side. That metal to metal contact is the culprit. I'm going to shove some padding in between there tomorrow.

a little bit of spray silicone in random areas of the car works wonders. its actually part of maintenance schedules :D

I was thinking that's probably what it was. My SS used to do that so I wedge some cardboard behind the seat to help hold it tighter.

i had the same squeaking issue before and discovered it was from the spare tire being slightly loose
