No idea yet tbh. Both of my bosses are jerk asses when it comes to making a decision to tell us not to come in so I'm sure it'll be the normal ****. Call in around 8:30, ask what the hell is going on, be told yeah dont worry about coming in, and then find out tuesday that everyone came in except for me and miss out on a day of work....

Nope, I'm off until Jan 3. :)
If I was supposed to work tomorrow, it would be a snow day anyway and school would be closed.

Honestly though what I can see from my windows is like 4 inches of snow, this state of emergency is ******** for where I am

The more south you go the worse it is. Its like 12inches on the ground right now, 30mph and sideways blizzard snow with bad gusts.

I'll probably go in to make some $ and my commute is only 2.3 miles. Thing is, I believe once it's a state of emergency your boss has the power to keep you at work since it's unsafe to travel
NJ makes me laugh, its just snow.

It's all about liability, plus with plows and salt trucks going at full force do you really think they want the idiot drivers out there that think it's safe to drive in a foot and a half of snow?

Once there is a state of emergency you are supposed to stay off the roads unless you are considered by the state to be essential personnel. They don't really care where you are when the state of emergency is declared, they just want you to stay there.
I am at work now, will likely be here until at least 2:00am, and my boss just informed me that he would rather me stay through the night thanks to the state of emergency. I am prolly gonna head home in a few hours though. Gotta take care of the kids if my wife has to go in to work.

I am going to make a prediction for how my day is going to go.
The store manager, who lives 45mins south of the store, will not be able to make it for a host of reasons.
It will be me and one of my drivers. I will get nagged by the 2 shops that are open to get parts to them faster. I will then tell them to please perform a sexual act to themselves, punch out, lock the doors, and head to my fathers to play xbox 360 with my little brother.

I am currently at work. Route 295,73,& 130 are plowed but still very slick. Best speed on. 295 was@40 with 4 wheel. Dunkin Donuts was closed on 73,but the gas station are open. Wind is crazy. Watch out for the snowdrifts, they're 2 or 3 feet deep around corners and on and off ramps.

I'm at work. No thanks to the broken truck. I cleared the driveway this morning and dug out the car. The roads are pretty bad though, the drifting is hard to see until you run into it. I hope the winds die down some so they can clear the roads better. Getting home could get interesting.

Did you take your brother's car to work? I heard the roads in Ewing weren't too bad this morning. My brother has been out for that past several hours plowing with one of his friends.

No, I have my mom's Dodge Intrepid. The drifting is pretty bad, I was scraping the bottom of the car half the way in. My road is in good condition, but it's a county road and they always plow it well. One of the storms last year was worse than this, but this wind and the drifting is going to cause problems.
Yeah I doubt my work will be cancelled

Pepboys never closes, i however had off today. Now yesterday we were open and every cheap bastard who needed tires or wipers came in. The store was still open during the huge storm earlier this year and didn't have the parking lot plowed so the workers who were only 2 wheel got their cars stuck in the entrance.

I went in this morning to move some vehicles around so we could get our lot plowed. Only one truck was plugged in so starting the rest of them was fun. Specially dragging the jumper box out cause some idiot left the power inverter running on one. Then came home and slept.
Driving home at midnight last night during the brunt of the storm, from Warminster, PA was interesting.

because its not a main road for daily travel, too many cars parked on the street. it'd be a disaster if they tried to plow it.

Direct from Neptune Townships website...
Approximately 20% of the Township's roads have been plowed since the end of the storm. (During the storm we had plowed more than 60% of the roads). We have been focused on health, safety and welfare issues (first aid calls, dialysis runs, fires, accidents, search and rescue, etc.)

Neptune Township is really the set for the film "The Day After Tomorrow".
I called out sick from work yesterday (there was still a state of emergency going on when I called) and my boss won't take the hint that either A. i'm lying about being sick and don't want to drive in because the roads are crap and my Camaro can't make it or B. he gave me the flu because he gave it to everyone else..
He still wants a doctors note?! Damn.. easier to play hookey at school then work
(i'm very healthy at the moment, I don't get sick often..)

There were several people trapped in cars on 18. Neptune said there were 120 cars abandoned in the town.
