My wife and I are thinking about buying a lab sometime in the next couple months...either yellow or chocolate. I'm looking around for good breeders in the area. I did a Google search and turned up a lot of them around but want some people with first hand experience with different breeders.

If you have a lab from anyone in the area let me know good, bad, or indifferent.

And yes I've also considered adoption and we're going to consider that as well. My aunt works for a rescue organization and is currently looking to see if there's any labs available that we may like.

My old neighbor is a small lab breeder but he moved to DE. Great guy, He's retired now so this is his hobby that has become his entire life. North Lewes Retrievers, and his name is Dennis Flynn.

I've never actually had a dog so I don't have any other experience.

Nick....found your neighbors website...says he is planning a litter for late this winter. I think we're hoping to find something before that. Hopefully by early spring.

I just left him a message telling him that and asking him for other suggestions. I'll let you know what he replies with.
