I have to replace the hub/unit bearing on my father's 2001 ford sport trac. Looks to be pretty easy deal. Anyway I start hunting prices and come across this:

These would be plus shipping and waiting for it to arrive.

From Autozone web site and could be picked up instore:

Duralast/Wheel Bearing/Hub Assembly-Front
For your 2001 Ford Truck Explorer Sport 4WD 4.0L EFI SOHC 6cyl
Part Number:
DL515003 $119 plus tax

Notice the highlighted part numbers are the same? What are the odds that Autozone is reboxing the National Brand part? And how can Autozone be selling it a such a reduced rate compared to Rockauto?

Am I not seeing something?

It's sort of like our filters at work. They may be manufactured under Wix, but we slap our name on it, and sell it for less. The part numbers are the same, minus the first number on the Wix filters. our NAPA shocks are Monro shocks, same part number, but our name on it allows us to sell for less then what Monro wanted us to since all your paying is for their logo on it.

Cause we can :)

It helps to be the largest autoparts supplier in the US to reduce cost. We used to sell it as National/Dynapack, but we figured we would just put our name on it and save cost.

Our front end parts are all Federal Mougl, usually Moog parts. Our partnumbr will be on the box, but if you pop open the box, you will see Moog part numbers.
