Like OnStar, but have a non-GM vehicle, or a GM Vehicle that was built before or without it?
Well fear no more! OnStar will now sell a rear-view mirror system through Best Buy for about $300 bucks that gives you all the benifits of OnStar such as turn by turn, crash detection, and bluetooh connectivity.

They are also right now talking about some other new stuff at CES in Vegas as we speak. Ill update incase you guys want to know.

They also developed an app that allows you to send and recieve text messages via Bluetooth an OnStar safter by using voice-to-text. You can also do this to check your facebook status and update if you so feel the need.

GM already has a beta program where you can update your FB with actual voice tracks that post as your status. it can also read your news feed.

thats a little out of hand. if youre driving theres no need to be thinking about updating facebook.

Its geared more towards the young people that cant stop updating and texting. People are not inlove with the car as they once were, and this is a way to keep people entertained.

I'll wait til they work some bugs out, but I loved my OnStar service. However, voice-dialing always made me cringe.

OnStar and Google are working together for the next generation for user interface.

We are gunna see a sample of that next week. New Buick is going to showcase some new technology. IMO, should have launched that car at CES, not at the Auto Show

Same here. Voice dialing seems to never recognize the commands. Still can't beat the service though.

Facebook is serious business. It's important to let the Facebook world know when someone jack off cuts you off while driving, gotta post that right way lol
