We are going to Disney World the 2nd week in Feburary and the Flyers are playing Tampa on the 15th.. Got a great deal on the tickets. My daughter loves going to see the Sixers play and she use to love seeing the Phantoms but she nor I have never been to a Flyers game. Should be fun. We will probably make a day out of it in the Tampa/Clearwater area as pitchers and catcher report on the 14th and they might be practicing on the 15th as well..

I'm going to a game at home Feb 3rd. Hockey can be a little tough to follow the puck if your eyes aren't great so I'm better off watching it on tv. I haven't been a to a game in quite a few years, I couldn't see well enough from the nosebleed seats so it wasn't worth going.

Wow, never been to a Flyers game? You're missing one great time. You'll see a great game down in Tampa, both teams are playing well(Tampa is surprising everyone). You're gonna see A LOT of Flyers fans at the game, Tampa is swarming with them.

Just went to my second on Thursday. If you watched it you of known it was an awsome game. But 20 rows up from the ice was amazing

TV doesn't do the game justice. The size, speed, and physicality are all magnified 100x seeing it in person. On TV you'd thing the rink is huge, but get there in person and you realize just how fast things are moving, the lack of room and coordination those guys posses. If you can get there early do so.

Probably about an hour before game time, they have an extended warm-up and you'll see them do crazy stuff with the puck. The pregame skate before the puck drop is just to loosen up. You want to see the real warmup, get there early and move down close (they shouldn't have an issue with that). They will do all their drills, 3 on 2, dump and chase etc. and its all at full speed.

Get there early and enjoy. You will be blown away if you have never seen a game live. Blows away all other sports once you see it live.

GO FLYERS

Absolutely, hockey for the most part looks slow on TV, especially if you have played or go to games. You'll be amazed at the speed of the game in person.

Jeff, once you get a taste of your first game try going to a playoff game....you can feel the energy in the building. It's something I can't describe...it's freaking awesome.

I believe it.. We went to a Phillies game during a Flyers playoff game last year at the Wachovia center and the whole ballpark was into the Flyers game. Roy Halladay was pitching but everyone was watching the flyers game instead.. The whole stadium erupted when they scored and I couldnt imagine how it was in the Wachovia center across the street. I remember watching Howard Strike out and then seconds later 45,000 people all cheering and Howard stopped as he walked in the dugout to look at the scoreboard and see the Flyers go up on Montreal.. He pumped his fist in the air as well.. Pretty cool thing to see..

Hockey is great to watch in person.I always tell people"theres nothing like being there".You get to see so much more than just what they show on TV.My buddy has flyers season tix and I take about 10 games a year from him.Made it to several playoff games last season including game 6 of the stanley cup finals vs chicago.Reg season is fun but the playoffs are a whole nother world. The building gets extremely loud.Just took my 3 year old daughter to her first hockey game last friday nite when the phantoms came back to play 1 game in philly and she had a good time.

I just went to my first game in 5+ years tonight and it looked like a preseason game. :-x But they pulled it out of their :moon: and got the win. Watching it in person makes a huge difference, especially in a lousy game like tonight. You're definitely going to enjoy it in person even if it's down in FL. You can see so much more of what's happening with positioning on the ice it's worth it!
