So my dad just totaled his E250 conversion van the other night on ice and I intended to buy the van back to try and make up the difference that it would cost to replace the van(It was a handicap equipped van with a lot of stuff not covered under insurance)
What I need to find a value on:
2000 Ford Triton 5.4L(just under or at 70K miles)
2000 E250 trans(I assume it's a 4R70W and same mileage as above)
I Know dropout Ls1's go for about 3K with motor and trans and I'd assume this setup would be worth the same but I just wanted to see if anyone else has more knowledgeable on the Ford stuff and knows how much of a demand there would be.

Honestly,
trans worth about $500
Motors worth $850-$1000 depending how "clean" it is.(oil leaks,dirty,etc,...)
my .02 being in the business as long as i have.

Ok, sounds good. Motor and trans were in excellent condition. Most of the damage that totaled the van was body damage so the motor and trans wasn't hurt during the accident at all.

I posted your question elsewhere and value wise got about the same answer kurt gave. not a popular retrofit so only guys needing a replacement setup will probably be interested.

You'll get the most money for it if its really clean. make sure to powerwash it or degrease it if its got any mud or oil stains, thats a real turnoff to buyers.
Not to go off your topic but here's something rediculous:
my transfer case just blew in my D-max dually.
New(rebuilt) from G.M. : $1650.00 my cost
Used (junkyard): $1400-$1450.00 (w/80-90k on it !!!)
I just don't get it.... and your motor/trans combo is worth the price a used transfer case goes for...????? (I wish I needed a 5.4 or 4r70 LOL)
