Kurt Busch is going to try and do it this weekend.
While most of his fellow Cup drivers are taking advantage of an off weekend, Busch is competing in the Pro Stock class of the NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville, Fla. He was in Charlotte for barely 24 hours after finishing ninth Sunday in Las Vegas before leaving for the Sunshine State to practice.

After a shaky NHRA Full Throttle Series debut on Friday, 2004 NASCAR champion Busch qualified solidly into the 16-car Pro Stock field on Saturday with 6.532-second pass at 211.46 mph.
Busch ended the day qualified No. 12 and he will have as interesting a matchup as he could draw in Erica Enders, the 27-year old from Houston who was the subject of the Disney original movie, Right on Track.
Well, he made the show - we'll have to see how he does tonight.

Kurt went out in the first round. Good showing for the first time making the show though.
(W) Erica Enders (ZaZa Energy Cobalt) 0.021 6.538 211.69
(L) Kurt Busch (Shell/Dodge Avenger) 0.049 6.541 211.59
Enders with the starting line advantage and was straight down Broadway for the win. Erica Enders' MOV: 0.0311 seconds (approximately 10 feet). Busch with a good light and real nice pass in his Pro Stock eliminations debut.

Chevy Cobalt over the Dodge Avenger. Erica Enders (yes a female driver) over Kurt Busch. For some can be tough on the ego being beat by a girl!
