its not damaged though. id be cutting it apart and wanting it welded back in my own way/design.

this is not to discuss the concept but just to find someone that can do the welding for me. I will have everything cut to specs and it would really just need to be tacked and finished up, very little to no fabrication on their part would be needed.

its like a cast aluminum piece, not sheet metal aluminum.

any ideas?

And if there's a way i can weld it myself, that's also an option, i don't have a welder yet but could get one(i even have 220v), just not sure if that material is weldable with home setups( i have no clue).

Welding aluminum requires more skill than standard MIGging of steel. I don't know anybody by you, but Art's radiator down here in Flemington will do it.

Yeah like the others said, welding aluminum is not easy. You need to find someone who knows what they're doing....especially with the cast aluminum pieces. I wish I could help you out but I don't trust my aluminum welds enough. I've done it but not well/often enough.

ok so at least it is a weldable item by the right person. and i wont even bother consider doing it myself.

the parts alone will cost me almost 700 before welding so its not like im looking to go cheap anyway lol. So before i decided to attempt it, i just wanted to be sure it could be done.

Once i have it ready to go then ill look for a specific person

1984camaroz28... do you have any contact info or is it like a local low key guy you know. id like a rough estimate. it would be 8 runners welded all around in 2 places. And by rough i mean give of take like 200... like will it be 400 or 1000, lol.

Art's done some beautiful welding. He welds up tons of stuff for dirt track guys and its all exceptional
