i need to buy C-clip eliminators cause i have aftermarket axles. i dont even know how to begin figuring out which kind i need, anyone wanna help me out?

Strange makes a nice set that doesnt have the common problems with leakage. You could also just go with 9" ends/bearings depending on how far into cutting and modification you want to get.

What type of rear is this? What brakes are you going to use? Some eliminator kits and end packages dont work with some of the brakes that f bodys came with.

Probably not going to work with any c-clip eliminator kit I know of. You could go with 9" housing ends but I dont see that being worth while on a 10 bolt.

Can you tell us more about the rear? Vagueness doesn't help with things like this.

ok so i think ive figured this one out possibly. Apparently i need to put my backing plates on the axles and then have bearings pressed on top of that to hold the plates in places. looks like with this set up its the actual backing plates that hold the axles in. i have never heard of something like this but apparently it can be done.
and Justin sorry about that, ive been a mess with school and getting the car together so sorry for being a bit curt

What you are describing sounds like a 9" bearing conversion.. The ends of the axle tubes need to be cut off and new ends welded on to the tubes that will accept the big bearing..

It probably wouldnt be very hard or expensive to have grooves machined in the axles on a standard lathe.
