I've heard of dealer mark-ups but that is a lot of money.

You can ask whatever you want. Doesn't mean that they will get anything close to it.

That is a CLEAN low miles firehawk, but 55k is just crazy.

I don't know how many they made in 2002, but that is #925 and I can think of a ton of other cars that are much more rare.

There are probably few with ~5600 miles.

Berger/Dick Harrells pull that

ROFLMAO @ having a "Berger panel" and forgetting that the Berger Camaros exist.

I agree with you on the normal F-bodies like the Z28, T/A, SS, WS6.. When it comes to 30th ann, Colector editions, Firehawks, Comp T/A's, and other not so comon f-bodies I can see why people pay 25-30 grand for them.. I have a buddy in VA in the Trans am club down there pay $62,000 for a 99 Anniversary edition WS6 inverse color. I think there were only 2 or 3 made Blue and white with Blue Leather interior.. He was bidding in Atlantic city auctions against 3 other people for it.. If a person wants a rare car and has the means to get it then why not? Now if he payed $62,000 for a Regular WS6 then there is something wrong with him and he should be in a mental hospital.. There are 4th gen collectors out there that will pay a good amount for certain cars..

Yeah, that's how I feel too. Some of the special editions will get the cash, but nothing really "regular production" will- regardless of how babied it was.

The Firehawks are more in between a special edition and a Regular WS6.. If it were a 3rd gen Firehawk then it will bring big bucks but in my case with my 95 Firehawk it is car Number 599 of 6XX. Its rare but not that rare..

The below is an email I received earlier in the year when I contacted Edmunds asking them if they have values for Firehawks:

Thank you for contacting Edmunds.

The Firebird SLP Firehawk was a factory authorized third party conversion, as a result the content and cost of the conversion was never published in a Pontiac dealer order guide. Our used vehicle data is based on information provided by the manufacturer, this limits us to basing our True Market Values on data that can be verified through a dealer order guide. Third party conversions can vary widely in quality of execution, in addition some conversions can vary in cost depending on geographical region. What it comes down to is that there are a number of variables connected with third party conversions that make it extremely difficult to arrive at a meaningful resale value, so we limit our evaluations to factory-installed options, where prices and quality are generally standardized.

Our policy on third party conversions should not be taken as negative commentary towards any particular builders, the quality of work done by some third parties can actually exceed that of the vehicle manufacturer, but as stated earlier there are just too many variables to consider. The very nature of most third party conversions aims them at a niche audience, so personal preference becomes part of the many other factors to consider.

With the SLP Firehawks being specialized vehicles, they would be the most valuable to those who are somewhat knowlegeable about them; in order to arrive at a value we would suggest checking the classified listings of several vehicle-specific forums or any related eBay auction results. By clicking on the "Advanced Search" option from the eBay Motors home page you can search for completed auctions:

http://motors.search.ebay.com/ws/search/ebayadvsearch?sofindtype=21?rt=nc

Included below are some links to a couple vehicle specific forums:

Please let us know if we may be of any further assistance.

Yes I can understand the logic of owning something rare but it's still a F-body that does not have a special motor, has a cheap interior, etc etc. Now the car your buddy has is something really rare that not even with my F-body knowledge knew about! I would love to own something like that but it prob won't be driven and will just be stored away. I hope he at least takes it events and such. I think for me personally a Comp T/A is the rare car that always had my attention but i wouldn't pay over 8k for one and I would dirve it frequently!

The '69 Pace Car replicas are nothing more than a questionable color scheme and decal and they command more money than a regular '69. It really depends how the public feels about a car. To a lot of people the Firehawk was the top of the line "factory" Firebird so it's a bit different then some of the other customized models.

He does take it to shows now and then but he also has a 89 Turbo T/A, 91 Firehawk, and a 68 GTO..

A 69 Trans Am is a f-body and I have seen them go for over 100,000 at auctions on TV.. The interior in my 4th gens are cheap to people who have Vettes and other nicer more expensive cars but to the avg person like myself and many others its a very nice interior. We went to Ritas Water ice last night in the firehawk to get some water ice and everybody that was there in line just stared at my car and many people asked what a firehawk is and how much we got it for. There is a ton of interest in Firehawks and now all firebirds.. Its been 9 yrs since the last firebird was sold.. To me all Firebirds now are pretty rare cars..

I can't tell you how many times I've had people come up to me and say, "Nice Ferrari." Firehawks really attract a lot of attention.

Yes but there weren't over 250k made like 93-02:) I too as you all know love the 4th gen to death I have had 19 including my current 2. I actually sold my Vette to get another. I to feel that the Firebird is a nice car and its funny you mention about the looks you get. I actually got alot recently in my newly acquired WS6 more than my Camaro:?: Still nothing will ever make me like the interior of any 4th gen:barf:

4th gen camaro's aside from the SS's are VERY plain in stock form... a 4th gen firebird has much better body lines even without the WS6 hood, deff grabs more attention

Yes that is true to some extent but kind of a matter of opinion. I still think my Camaro looks better but yes most will go with the aggressive styling of the Pontiac

Well I am sorry but give me a choice between a 69 T/A Interior or a 02 T/A interior and I will choose the 02 T/A interior.. I have owned 9 f-bodies ranging from a 79-02.. By far the 97-02 interior is my favorite..

None of the interiors are stellar. Nor have they ever been. They are sports cars, not luxury cars.
