91 camaro z28

i have a dynomax catback on my car, it know not the best. but its extremely quiet and i want to just replace the muffler to get a little more noise out of it. so basically i am looking for a stock style muffler that louder than what i have. anyone have any recomendations or links?

A magnaflow would make more noise than the dynomax unit. A nice stainless unit would be my choice in the stock configuration.

Replace muffler with a dynomax ultra flow welded.

I looked on summit at the crossflow magnaflows and there's like 4 of them, is there any difference other than pipe diameter? This is gonna be temperary until I have enough cash to buy a borla system

Depends on how they have them branded or per the type of muffler. I would imagine for a particular design they would offer different pipe diameters and such. Double check the pipe sizes on that catback and as I mentioned, I would go with their stainless unit unless you plan on putting it in the trash soon anyway. Their website shows some good info.

I have a Flowmaster on my car. Sounds really good but overall I was not impressed with the kit. I doubt I would buy it again.

Also installed a Pypes exhaust on my boss's El Camino. The car has the original 267 V8 and has a really nice rumble. If I have to replace my exhaust at some point I will probably go this route.

I would also recommend a Dynomax Ultraflow to replace what is likely a SuperTurbo type on there now.

Pipe routing should all be the same, but hangers are different. Easy to change if the price is right otherwise though.

If your saving to buy a Borla then I would just wait till you can afford the Borla, but as a more affordable alternative the Magnaflow is all stainless and built very well. I also like the way it sounds (though I've only used it on 4th gen LS1 cars) and if you look around you can get it new for around $380 or so. Here's Magnaflows page on 3rd gen cat back #16829 http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shopexd.asp?zone=all&id=7806 there are video clips on there and here's how my WS6 sounds with #15684 http://youtu.be/Y9Xo79pfa6E

Hope that helps,
Steve
