i'm looking for someone that could take LT1 tail lights, then create another lens without the different reflecting pattern that splits through the lights horizontally.

You could probably do a vacuum mold. Tough part would be removing your old backing and reusing it or making a new one all together.

whats a vacuum mold?

and i hear about when people take apart their tail lights they put it in an oven.

idk how but somehow I (or someone) would create the mold, then make all of the texture/bumps/reflectors in the red lens the same pattern, then i dont know what would be done next. as far as plastic goes i can buff it.

Vacuum mold is something you would make for use in a vacuum forming machine (thermoforming). Pretty much you would make the mold of what you wanted, heat up the plastic (lexan-polycarb / plexiglass - acrylic), and then the vacuum will pull down the heated material over the mold. Once it cools, you will have your part.

You can make your own vacuum table and with practice, you can make the parts you are looking for. I do this with a computer controlled machine to make my headlight kits for consistency and speed reasons. The machine would not be able to accommodate the size of a camaro tail light unfortunately.

Honestly, you are probably better off purchasing a set of the altezza tail lights and just separating them so you have the clear lens to mess with and create whatever design you are looking for.

hmm that sounds a lot easier, if they're clear then i could just mask and paint it how i want
