Anything special about the ls1 water pump ? As in how they fail or normal like a regular water pump

Discovered a leak today. I have been adding about half a quart of coolant everyweek but have not seen anything. Today was the first time I saw a leak I'm the ground small puddle.

When I did the cam I replaced the gaskets and hoses. Didn't see anything around them. But jacked the car up and saw some "slime trails" on the oil pan and timing cover. Safe to assume the pump ? I know best way is to pressure test it but I need the car up and running ASAP.

I know its easy.

I just am wondering if i should order it before i diagnose it since i have no tools at home to do so and nobody is going to have this in stock

Car is not overheating but slowly leaking what looks to be right at the center (hence the trails on the pan)

thats pretty convienent. That is where i am assuming it is leaking from cause i dont see it from the gaskets or hoses. Just needed a little reassurance.

the weap hole is behind the pulley... so if its damp there then thats ur problem

Yeah, i pressure tested it at work and it is coming dead center and can see it dripping on the crank. I get some good deals. Go a reman for 115. Going to put it in tommorrow
