Who's watching? and who's looking to stay up all 24 hrs?

Great field this year, even if once again it's Audi vs. Peugeot.

Right now I'm stuck at work listening to radio Le Mans, but as soon as I get home, the couch is going to have a nice imprint of my ass.

GO Aston Martin!! GO Peugeot!!!!

Well, so much for Aston Martin, one LMP is already out....

HOLY **** that McNish wreck was insane. Car went up, spun around in 3 different directions, an came crashing down. How about that, an Audi driver being uber-aggressive dbag move.

It's unbelieveable to me that car didn't crash into the photographers there, it was almost like it hit a fence and came back down, the physics of that crash was so wierd. There is a fence but that's behind the photographers.

and thats the ACO's fault for changing the part of the track after the Dunlop corner so an S bend instead of the old straight....

The one guy on Speed is not sucking up to the McNish greatness, and he is calling him an idiot for making such an aggressive move within the first hour of the race.

Well, a little, but wasent his fault entirely, the Ferrari certainly came into his line, even though the Audi had a few moments before he continued to pass the sister car. the Ferrari should of stayed high, but I'm sure he moved over for the Audi that was already behind him...
Alan is a part of the car when he gets in, he's no rookie, but even the best of proffesionals have a hiccup, that's racing.... BUT, at this stage of the race (not even an hour in) he pushed a little too hard IMO

The speed of the R18's is crazy. They interviewed the Ferrari driver, and he said he checked his mirrors, no Audi. Then, Audi.

i cant believe there was another horrific audi crash, and rockenfeller was able to walk away

not only does audi make one of the fastest prototypes, but after watching today they are bullet proof too. good to see they care baout safety as much as going fast. and thank god they went to closed cockpits this year, i dont think mcnish or rockenfeller would have walked away with the open cockpits

The lead #74 Corvette was in a wreck so it left the #73 car in there by himself.but it didnt matter beecause Beretta PULLED IT OUT! Corvette wins GTEPro amd GTEAm! 10 years since its first win at LeMans. Audi's sole R18 kept the Pugs. At bay to take home the win!

Great race, even though Audi won....again ugh. I want Porsche to come back so badly, they've been absent for over a decade now for a factory backed racing effort. Don't say the RS LMP, that was for P2, buti doubt that will happen since that would tangle two of Volkswagens companies.

As the announcers said during the race, F1 is great, but it no longer brings things into regular production vehicles, theres too many rules to do that, but Le Mans, and endurance racing in General can really show advancements that could be used in future road cars, and really gives them an ability to test new ideas out. I wish Ferrari would see that, and bring a contender as well. Good to see Henri P. back, it's not Le Mans without him.

They are too busy making hideous sedans. Hideous sedan is hideous.

Somebody give WBT the gold star of the day  that's very true. A company that boasts about being a sports car company, but to bring those two hideous things in this world.... Ferdinand must be spinning in his grave.

NOW, I will say the Panamera is eye ball spinning quick and comfortable, and there is plenty of leg room in the back, but is a 4 door sedan worth 90k? I don't think any is worth that. just buy a 30K sedan beater, and go buy a sports car with the rest.

ya it would be great to see a third team to go up against audi and peugeot (even though they both put on a great race!), toyota treid but failed miserably. the question is though who can step up and will they run a turbo deisel since thats the only way of coming close.

IMO it's classic Porsche. Looks are not so hot but performance is unbelievable.

Porsche runs in GT glass, they dont want to bother with LMP. I know GM keeps eyeballing it with some sort of Caddy entry again.

I LOVED the Cadillac LMP's, I even have a 1:18 scale of the 2000-2001, it was something out of this world, it's ashame they dumped it to focus on Corvette, they were finally getting the puzzle pieces together.

Porsche doesn't want to bother with LMP because they are selling GT class cars like hot cakes, that's how they make a nice chunk of money. Honestly, they've never had much of a factory team, the 917's were split between 3 teams in 1970-71, the 935's were customer cars. Go to any big time historic meet, and there'll be no less then 10 of them. 956's and 962's where joest dipped his toes in the elite that have an overall le mans victory, etc.... The only ones I can recall that were mainly (but still let a few privateers use them) factory backed were 936's and 911 GT1 Evo ( )

I think Porsche realizes they don't have anything to battle the gas mileage the Diesels are getting, and are waiting for a rule mandate that will ban them ( like the rotary motor after the 787B was banned) Or until they develop their own Diesel technology that can compete with Audi.
