New Price: $1,000 OR best offer.
New Description: After having a few people come look at it, I am re-writing my description. This truck is a thirty year old work truck. There is no radio, it was stolen. There are crank windows and a manual transmission, so you will not be able to eat a doughnut and drink a coffee while you drive. There is no A/C or heat(I think). The gas cap is a pain in the ass to access. the body is far from perfect, but it looks 100x better than any other truck this age that I've ever seen. The odometer doesn't work due to a common faulty cable connection between the transmission and odo. As a matter of fact, the only gauge that works is the gas gauge. The 351 gas engine runs, but it could probably use a tune up by someone who knows their way around an engine to be perfect. The Transmission never gives me a problem. The truck has a 4:55 rear end ratio and it gets horrible gas mileage. All of the dump components work except one, the little dump pto driveshaft thingie fell off while driving and it will need to be replaced (it was essentially a metal bar held on by two bent nails.) The whole dump body is fairly new. There is no way to attach a hitch to this truck, which is one of two main reasons I'm getting rid of it. The other reason is that it's been sitting and I don't want to pay the storage or insurance for it anymore. The dump body and wheels alone are probably worth $1,000.
Bottom Line: This is the best work truck you can get for $1,000. It's a little rough around the edges, but for a small local landscaping company like my own, it has been well worth the $3,000 I originally paid for it about a year ago. This truck helped me be more profitable this year and within the year I was able to purchase a diesel truck to replace it.
