Sucks that Boston won but it was nice to see Recchi go out a winner. I guess it's a nice consolation to see that and to see an American goalie win the Conn Smythe.

Tim Thomas is the luckiest sob ever. Luongo never won a big game in his life and folded under pressure.. worst finals in a while......

Luongo has now been renamed Lebrongo

no the domination of the sharks werent big games. the sharks are the biggest choke artists in the nhl at this point. besides luongo.

hard to pin a SO loss on the goalie.

This. ^^^ It gets no bigger than the Cup Finals.....the guy couldn't win on the road, you need your best players to be your best players and he wasn't and hasn't been. In his NHL career he hasn't done much. Certainly not worth the huge salary he's getting.

Now, with that said the Finals outcome was a lot bigger than just Lebrongo, big injuries to some Canucks, a Bruins team that played like a TEAM and had big hearts and drive...

I wanted Vancouver to win since I'm still bitter about the Flyers but after seeing how their fans reacted after the loss I'm glad Boston won.

**waits for the idiotic Philly fan comments to start**

he apparently has trouble winning at home as well, evidenced by last night. lol

I'll give him a pass on the first goal, the pass wasn't even meant for Bergeron but it skipped to him. The 3rd goal was tough to save with guys crashing the net.

But overall he wasn't solid, he wasn't the player he needed to be. Right or wrong the goalie is a highly criticized position(just ask us Flyers fans lol). Like I said there was more to the loss than just his play but it certainly didn't help. He was outplayed by Tim Thomas, big time.

shutout. they lost 4-0 (and #4 was open netter I think). goalie does not score goals therefore not his fault.

True but being down a goal or two changes the complexion of the game compared to being 0-0.

the olympic gold was an easy feat with the defense in front of him...

As for the sharks it was a decent series, as was Nashville. Bottom line is Luongo is one of the flakiest goalies in the league. Just look at all the big games he couldn't stop pucks in.

I give it to Boston, they stuck with the game plan and made the twins useless but you have to understand how demoralizing it is when every time you look back the puck is in your own net..

sounds like excuse making to me. win as a team, lose as a team. you can 1) put your tail between your legs and point fingers or 2) pick up your teammate. and that is not a hockey thing, it's a sports thing.
