Everybody has one, or multiple cars you want or love, but are embarrased to tell other for fear of being flamed and made fun of. I know I got a long list of closet cars, so let's hear some you guys want, and please refrain from making fun of others, it's the whole reason why they don't want others to know in the first place.
Here's a few to name:
: 1987 Ford Thunderbird turbo coupe
: Jaguar XJ12
: Mini Cooper (old)
: Volkswagen Scirroco
: Volkswagen Corrado VR6
: Chevrolet Corvair
: Chevrolet Cosworth Vega ( I want this the most!!)

lol flamesuit on but the 96-00 honda civics..i think they are designed looking great and some tastefully modded ones look amazing. could be hit or miss though i hate the riced out ones with the holes in their bumpers, fart cannon pipe, etc.
i may also have a soft spot because my first car was a 96 civic.
also i love the 94/95 mustangs.

I've only seen one up close and personal, and fell in love with it right away, knowing that there is a market for them , they are hard to come by... but I wouldn't restore it, I would use it for it's original intentions if I could...

As much as I'd jump on that deal, I'm hunting for a rusted out, neglected piece some guy said he'd get around to 20 years ago, because my intentions would be to strip it, upgrade the engine to the original 12.5:1 CR they were to run, swap the Bendix F.I. for Weber carbs, and race it, and I couldn't do that to a well kept car. That and I'm sure I couldn't afford the asking price lol. I thought about even trades with my Camaro, but then I wouldn't have a DD
EDIT: think I found my dream ride.. http://www.racingjunk.com/category/1060/Chevrolet/post/2221079/1976-COSWORTH-VEGA.html

I think some of you guys are missing the point of the topic, what's embarrassing about wanting a ZO6 or a new Mustang? I think the point was to name some cars your friends would laugh at you for(like a Geo Metro convertible or something lol)

And Slow, I used to work with a guy that had a McLaren Mustang, I always thought it was neat.

My best friend had an ACS McLaren Mustang, convertible, 5spd, black 1 of 40made with his option package and color.....Those cars were nothing to be embarrassed about....however the Mclaren Capris were another story....with those hideous color combinations and extra 300lbs of glass in the rear hatch.
So guess put me down for an ACS Capri

After seeing one on PHR cover a few years ago I want to build a Mustang II for road course use.
There's one sitting in a Gulf station on Route 23 up by Willowcrook Mall in Wayne. A little far from Hamilton... I share this one with you; my grandfather worked for Ford, so all of my uncles drove them. I remember one of them having a metallic green Mustang II. I wouldn't mind having one all black and slammed to the ground with an updated drivetrain.
Spotted a Javelin the other night at The Chatterbox that I wouldn't mind owning, either.

Chevy Nomad, mostly cause I hate most other wagons.
Notchback Fox Body Mustang. When I was like 14 my cousin got one as his first car. I had a very long moment where I was almost a ford guy. I really wanted to shoehorn a 460 in one. Then I bought my 3rd gen...

I almost bought a Z34 once, but I prefer the look of the 4 doors, hence the Euro 3.4. Slap a '90 Euro mesh grill on it and TGP crosslaces and win.

What is a closet car to one, is a really cool car to another.
How many here would want to own an Dodge Omni GLH/GLHS?
Isuzu Stylis Turbo?
Alfa Romeo Spyder?
Fiat 500?
I loved my '04 Malibu Maxx and I am not embarrassed to say that. I would be more embarrassed to say I want to own a Miata over a Sky?

There's an old Beetle for sale in the Auto Shopper...4 spd manual, green/white, 200 hp built motor, race suspension. I want it badly to commute in, would be so much fun in traffic while getting great mielage.
Turbo geo metro convertible for same reason.
Manx buggy.

all motors were available with a 5 speed up until 93. after that the 3x00's didnt come with a 5 speed but you could have one special order at a dealer, there are a few around but arent ''documented stock''.
in all honesty though a 92 beretta gt with the 3.1 and 3t60 is about as bulletproof as you can get for a gm fwd car. except for the interiors. those fall apart by looking at em
oh and yes, i did the 96/97 front end conversion on my old supercoupe. the hood had a dent in it from some ******* before my trying to shut it with the prop up...long story short i found a great deal in a junkyard and had some fun

I had a brand new 1983 Dodge Charger two-tone Gold & Brown. It had the 2.2/ 5-speed/ aluminum wheels/ sport suspension and more. I installed the Shelby computer and the exhaust system and had a lot of fun tearing up the Z/28 and Trans Ams in 1984-85. Oh, and getting 35 mph highway!
