If you do, then GTFO of this thread!

Australia's V8 Supercar racing series has signed up to start racing in the US starting in 2013!! This is the 2nd big motorsports announcement after F1 saying they will race at the same track in Austin, Texas.

I am going, either by plane or by car, I am going.

:shock: that's just wrong

If Al really was into this he'd be going to this: http://www.njfboa.org/forums/showthread.php?p=772767#post772767

I won't even get into the Camaro Nationals the Mr Camaro never goes to. I saw the new ZL1 Tugboat and his hero Scott FBod last week.

:rofl::rofl:

So what your saying Al is they are bringing them over to show what NASCAR would be like if they did more then two road course races a year, a form of racing that actually makes you look like you need skill to drive in it? I love when they go to Sears Point ( I refuse to call it Infineon) and Watkins Glen, allows them to really let it all hang out.

Spot on for Austin to be hosting this, but will it bring in the fans out to Texas. Surely I would love to go, but money puts a hamper on my travel plans, so unless Rolex is going to sponsor it, I'm out :( Right now I'm starting to plan a trip to Le Mans in 2014 to see Porsche make a comeback for the overall victory, so I have to start savign money now if I'm gogin to be going.

NASCAR should be taking this very serious....not because this series is running on a road course (frankly circle tracks have their place in motor sports). This series represents NASCAR's former glory, Showroom Stock appearing "full bodied" cars racing in large groups.

I personally would be interested in seeing if GM will slap a Chevrolet badge on some of the Holden's when they race state side. Doubtful for the first season....but you never know down the line.

Hey, they slap a Chevrolet badge on a tube chassis sheet metal body now, so what does it really matter?

I love Australian cars :)
Holden and Ford Australia make some sexy cars.

I dislike Nascar but this looks interesting.

Yes, this is more than a circle.

Bikes are cool, but I was talking about 4 wheel racing.
By 2013...we MIGHT already have Chevy badged Holdens stateside....
