well this sucks :/. Guess now is a good time to pull the motor and sort out all the other gremlins.

What happened? I would think that you need a piece of something to come out of the cylinder to cause that kinda damage.

those are probably pacesetters and that is where they crappily welded on the port for egr. when you cap it the lack of circulation causes it to rust out the welds... it happened to mine, and i just welded a piece of scrap on and used them for another year

Yeah, that looks like the AIR fitting location. Like Mike said, if you cap them then nothing circulates and condensation can build up and rust it out from the inside. Just wrap a beer can around it with some hose clamps! :lol: You'll be good to go.

yes, correct. like really bad
i know its dangerous to run like zero exhaust.. i.e no headers.. and that is comming pretty close to that level.. for that one cylinder. ruin valves etc
