I've never been to Beachwood so I figured it was a good excuse to check the place out since it was a really nice day. There was only 1 skiff there and he hooked the turn in the warmup lap and nearly rolled it. They got bounced around hard but luckily they had a roll cage. I heard the driver was beat up pretty good and was taken to the hospital. But the races were pretty good overall. It would be cool to see a few more skiffs out there though.

Nope, my little cousins were down so I didn't get chance to swing up there, and then I was detailing my new toy from 3pm on since it wasn't worth it to head up there. Where in Beachwood was the races? I was trying to think in my head...Isn't part of the Toms River considered Beachwood?

It was some public park/beach on Bayside Ave I think. Yeah, I think you could call it south Toms River. The races were done by 2:15, I think there were 10-12 boats in total. The skiff pulled one of these! Any maybe by coincidence this was the actual boat but it now has the full cage. This is an older picture.

pretty sure they were racing in the toms river. I can't think of any public parks on the bay in beachwood. There's huddy park on the toms river though.

Looks like it's called Mayo Park.
