I originally had a bottom end bog on my 95 formula and it was missing up high. I did plugs and wires, it took away the top end miss but the bottom end still was hesitant.
Recently it started missing very hard up top (4,000+ RPMs) and down low under load a lot worse.

I ordered a cap, rotor, wires (being paranoid a few are too close to the headers), header wrap, and while it's all apart I got an electrical water pump/wiring.

I'm going to see if it fixes my issues and if not I will be moving onto checking the injectors and then replacing the coil/icm before finally buying a new opti... also plan on changing the fuel filter while I'm at it.

Does it sound like it can be coil/ICM related? Is it possible the ICM has a bad ground back to the head? Anyway to check lol?

didn't you have burnt wires?

header wrap = rotted headers. do not do

How can I avoid contact with the headers?
I'm running shorties anyway... might be motivation to switch to long tubes when they rot out and I finish my rebuild :-?

You are not the 1st person with this issue, lol.

the DEIs are nice & flexible, go around 90* boots and such. some of the other/cheaper ones are not flexible enough

also, decent wire looms to hold the wires in place help.

Thanks man.

I just want this thing to last the rest of the summer. Over the winter I am still saving to get another dressed LT1 and just do a mild rebuild. ARP rod bolts, hone/re-ring, AI 230/238 cam kit & lifters and .028" gaskets. Hopefully I can hold off on getting a new opti until my build though.

Google OTVC wires, enjoy.
