My inlaws just bought a 70 ford maverick. it doesn't have the lever of the signal lights. So I was thinking of running a switch, relay, flasher, etc. I want to run two switches one for each side. I just want to know how to really do it

Yeah, OK they bought a WHAT! First off I don't think your going to get this MAVERICK through N.J. State Inspection.

Second, there has to be a COMET/ MAVERICK junker around with a steering column intact that would have all the parts you need. I'am pretty sure that the lever just screws into the turn signal part.

What about one 3 position switch? But I would probably try to make it like stock if its not too involved.

well I'm not in jersey anymore , I live in PR and in the junkyards here there nothing . I've tryed looking for other mavericks around here and this one is one of the best. So I thought of the switch idea so I can just get done with it and they won't bug me to fix it no more. And the reason that I want to run 2 switches is so it can second as hazards too.

state inspection is emmisions only.... so a blinker switch wouldnt mean anything, annnnd im pretty sure a car from the 70's isnt guna be a daily driver so some QQ plates and nooo inspection would be jsut fine

He said the car was in Puerto Rico. I thought that a car missing the turn signal LEVER would stand out in a NJ Inspection station.

Well the car is a daily driver but the great thing here is that cars a lot worst are one the road. You pay 20 bucks and they pass )our inspection and you put insurance on the car one a year

Most hot rod guys run a three way switch....not sure on the wiring off hand but I'm sure you can find it online.
