well i was getting ready to go work out in the garage for bit today and i had a summit box sitting on my deck. i opened her up real quick since i was expecting parts for my truck. i look in the box and what do i find. lt1 stuff. gm opti. electric waterpump. belt and gaskets. i look at the shipping label. wrong address. they were suppose to deliver to the house 2 houses down.

now ive never had this issue and i order alot from summit and jegs so i never check my shipping labels lol.

i know with hard times these days there are people out there that would of seen these parts and how much they cost and try to make a quick buck off them. (parts total was just under $800)
well we me being the good guy i am. i drove down the street to the address on the label to return to owner and explained what happend. the owner was very greatful about me delivering parts to him for his vette.

ive lived at this location for 21 years and thats the first time i met him. so it was nice to be able to meet someone new and help him out.

i just cant believe that fedex just dropped that package off on my doorstep without a sig. (or that summit racing didnt require a sig for that kind of money) his house number was 1212 mine is 1184 so its not like its close besides the first 1 lol.

it made me feel good that i was able to help someone out because who knows what would of happened if it got delivered to someone elses house.

needless to say. ill prob have my stuff require a sig. from now on so i know that no body else gets my parts.

Driver is probably just used to dropping stuff off at your house when its a box that says summit or jegs. **** happens but giving the rightful owner their package was the only thing to do.

the thing is im not the only one that gets summit/jegs stuff lol. there are a few guys that i know of on my road that order from them. i guess since ive placed like 3 orders in the past few weeks that he assumed it was the right house lol.

all i know is the guy was happy his stuff showed up even after delivered to the wrong address and i know what comes around goes around. i dont need any bad karma on my side.

:werd: Good looking out man! I've been really suprised at what the UPS guys have left at my house without a sig or waiting to see if someone was home. 10 years ago when we built the first motor for my Monte, they left a set of cast-iron cylinder heads and a bunch of other stuff right on the front stoop and it sat there for hours before someone came home. I was glad no one drove away with my parts!

If you had an LT1 would you have kept the parts?
