98 s10 blazer with the 3 button electronic 4x4... 4hi is not engaging, the dash button lights up, the electric solenoid clicks, but it doesnt engage. 4lo works just fine.
noticed it off road the other day, so i took it for a ride in the rain yesterday and was able to peel out and fishtail lol deff not in 4hi

those tranfer cases work on the electric motor and vac lines. so check the vac lines and while your under the truck have someone put it in 4hi and listen for the motor, if it doesn't engage it could be the motor, a wire, or worse the 4wd control unit, which might be intergrated into the BCM

correction, i hear the TCCM (transfer case control module) click, its on the passenger kick panel, from outside u hear the motor run.... but no dice. ill check the vac lines

goog to see you got it going good....that vacuum system sucks, un fourtunatly i've had enough of them to know how they work, and since they never changed the basic design for ir from the begining to the end of the run they all the same, only difference is electronic engagement and the transfer case VS a manual shifter on the floor
