What irks me is when I see someone in a Japanese car and they put a US flag on the back window. What really is pissing me off now is Kyle Busch draped his whole car (a toyota)with the stars and stripes and says its to support the 9/11 victims this weekend!!!! Its a insult to america, and to veterans of WWII. If anyone here thinks I am out of line and I am a little biased well thats is your right but when I first saw that car it made me sick. The flag isnt to be used in that manner no matter what car its on.Your not supposed to wear it,burn it,or do anything to degrade it especially being put on a Jap car!! I emailed Joe Gibbs raceing and hope those that understand our flag shouldnt be used in that manner do the same.I cant believe how far some will go and to use such an excuse as its for the 9/11 victims.BULLS--T!! here is a link to contact JG raceing http://joegibbsracing.com/contact-us/

really??? with all thats wrong in the world you're mad that someone bought a product of another country yet adorned it with our countrys flag??? maybe you should write a letter to our country's manufacturers and tell them to make a decent product that doesnt look like crap in 2 years and people will buy american again. our quality is terrible compared to other competitors cars in the same price range.

I agree with you with regards to the use of the American flag.
However, Toyotas are built in the USA.

Yes some are BUT where does the profits go?Again its the way the flag is displayed. I admitt my hangup is what the flag is on in this instance (a toyota). I think I know why this has happend and if I am right Kyle is a ahole. Recently and most of the year when a dodge or ford or a chevy won the race the driver rode around with the american flag out the drivers window instead of the checkerd flag, so to get back I think this paint scheme on kyles car is a result of that and its wrong or I could be wrong but in any case the whole situation is unacceptable.

Maybe its just the fact that he is American and he wanted to support his country on a horrible tragedy that happened ten years ago. Its on there because that is what he is contracted to drive (a Toyota)so, thats what he put the flag on. Some people show their support differently. People have been painting their cars like that since it happened, I know their are some things that shouldn't be done with the flag but I think being proud enough to cover your car in it shouldn't be a bad thing.
Side note: my text is written in a calm manner, I am just stating my opinion.

i dont know if i'd say that Toyota makes better vehicles NOW..
out of the top 20 cars, 5 of them are chevys vs 2 of them being toyotas.
the chevy cruze was picked as one of the best and safest cars for a kid going [back] to school.
Chevy's are winning awards left and right.

How so? Because they build the Camry here? You realize that GM has more plants in Ohio then Toyota has in all of the US, right?
The Camry has more domestic sourced parts than the Malibu, but that does not make it "more American".
While I agree, put the flag on whatever you want, but don't for one second think that a Japanese car is American just because it is made in America.

Dey disgracing my 'Merica flag
Next dey gunna turk err jurbz
It's a ****ing NASCAR Stock Car, the only thing that may be Japanese is the TRD engine they are running now instead of their own JGR engines. Everything else is the same sheet metal, trans, rear, safety equipment, etc, manufactured where ever it was for a number of other racing teams that run Chevy, Dodge, or Ford symbols. Seriously, until there's a Taliban made car running out there with the flag, let me know when I should care.

He shouldn't be stoned because he has more respect for the flag than most people. Doing anything but flying a flag in the appropriate way was seen as disrespectful before. I dont see it as being a disrespectful thing to display it where ever you can now though. I'm happy that some people in our country still have enough pride to do so.
You could say i'm a little patriotic myself, i have an American Flag tattoo from below my belt line to my arm pit that's over a foot wide. i don't see it as disrespect, i'm proud to be an American and i don't care who knows it.
So yes, i understand where you're coming from but you have to realize that times have changed a lot and just people flying our colors is a good thing.

Correction, large part of O.E. parts are manufactured in Taiwan, including Volkswagen parts, but yes, Asian countries are the main supplier of O.E. and aftermarket parts.

truth. Your complaining about something so stupid. If you want a valid argument say it was left out in the rain, didn't have a light shining on it at night etc. Etc. Which is done all the time and considered the norm now.
Technically the us flag should not be a print on shorts, tshirt a whole flag painted on a car, or anything but a flag. Why not complain about that?

Its not my intention to cause a argument,It is MY opinion and everyones opinion also matters and thats why we can be free to say what we feel here in the good ol U.S.A. !! Its interesting how difference of opinion is on how OUR flag should be displayed and respected.I asked my neices daughter what December 7th 1941 ment to her and she didnt say anything or knew what happend on that day.She is 13 yrs old.I wonder if in 50 yrs from now if 9/11/01 will mean anything then. How easy we forget!! Sad.
toyota and kyle busch dont pick what goes on his car. MARS corporation picks what goes on his cars. that was the paint job they chose rather than the normal m&m's logos. as a TRIBUTE, so get off your high horse.
btw, that "toyota" is hand built in north carolina...

Part of me finds it very funny that teenagers these days lust after some cars that are either A) Made by a company headquarterd in a city we dropped an atomic bomb on, or B) Made by a company that made the fighters that attacked Pearl Harbor.
But that's "progress" I guess. You will have to get used to it as we can't hold on to grievances forever.
I do, however, think it is in poor taste to put an American flag on a foriegn car. No matter who builds it, the parent company is not American. By the logic presented here that means all 4th gens are not American cars, they are Canadian cars. Also, I think it's a ****ing disgrace to fly an American flag made somewhere other than in the US. But I guess I'm just old guard.

Toyota = Made in America. Thats funny.
Thats probably the biggest marketing scam going in the automotive world right now. Lets think about this.
#1 The cars & trucks that they claim are "built" in the USA, are only assembled here. Most of the parts are outsourced and then screwed together here.
#2 Have you seen a automobile assembly line? How many people do you see compared to robots? The assmbly of cars is mostly automated with some components being installed by hand and the occasional QC check.
#3 ALL of their research, development & engineering is done in Japan.
#4 Reguardless of the jobs that are created here by Toyota, all of the profits go overseas.
I know the big 3 outsource alot of their parts to Mexico, but the profits stay here. Plus, the big 3 employ MANY more americans from the top of the company ladder down to the bottom.
