Read the by laws, not interested in handing over some of my information, paying dues or abiding to strict formalities just to feel i'm a member of a car club. Not for me..

I wouldn't mind the dues and what not.....but.......there's a lot of emphasis on president and blah blah blah, politics are never a good thing when it involves a community hobby. I'll have to think it over a little, maybe see how far this club goes, see if it takes off before I drop a few dollars on it. I really wouldn't mind being part a local LOCAL camaro club.

Thanks for checking in on South Jersey Camaro. I fully understand that pay clubs are not for everyone. As I mentioned, we are new to this club thing, and we just wanted to make sure that we set it up the right way from the beginning.

South Jersey Camaro Club was founded in September 2011 by a local group of Camaro enthusiasts to create friendships, fellowships, and foster relationships with local business and communities, create awareness for and give back as a non-profit organization.

SJCC hosts an annual car show with all funds going to the charities of the club member's choices. Our club is open to the public, and was organized to help those that are less fortunate. Membership fees go to help cover our expenses of the putting on our show, with all monies raised being donated to our various charities or organization within the state of NJ.

Again, thanks for checking in on us.

Is it just for Camaros? I do read on your site that you include Firebirds too, but the name made me a bit confused.

It's the same guide lines as DVCC (Delaware Valey Camaro Club).. We have been around for 7yrs now and going strong.. A few bucks a year wont hurt, We have donated alot of money to charities combined with money from our yearly show... Its a good thing

The old saying “Nothing is free”

Keep in mind this club is a legitimate nonprofit. When you set up a nonprofit you have to have officer’s trustees and By-Laws. That is the Law as set forth by the State of New Jersey. Our By-Laws meet the minimum requirements. It cost money to file and register a business. The club has a FED TAX ID and a bank account as required by the law. The $25.00 dues help cover the basic operating costs of the club. $25 dollars a year is very reasonable. Also with your dues you get a club T-shirt and they are not free either. The treasurer is responsible to maintain the books and they will always be available for review by the membership. The only personal info the club collects is contact info nothing more. The section in the By-Laws about personal info refers only to new club officers. That protects the membership and club.

If you would like to join all are more than welcome both Camaros & Firebirds!
The next meeting will take place at Geet's Diner in Williamstown, NJ on October 5th @ 7:30.
Hope to see you there!

Most of us are over 21 so you may want to start your own club.
That would be an LLC sole proprietorship organization, and then you don’t have to share any info with anyone other than the club president.

We just signed up. Was apart of the Trans am club in Virginia Beach for 7 years and we had a 25.00 a year dues. It was a good time. Involved in alot of activities like parades, car shows, Race days, and picnics around the 7 city area of Virginia..
