anyone get caught up in that mess on the parkway south today, between 4-5 pm...according to nj 101.5 there was a 32 car build up in the area of exit 135 in cranford. there must have been torrential downpour, the kind where you cant even see with your fastest wiper blade setting on. it backed it up to exit 150 at least...all the towns near there were also having crazy traffic problems.
i didnt manage to get pics maybe someone here did

Wow that sucks. The storm wasn't that bad down here but it did rain pretty hard for a little. People really need to calm down in inclement weather. I double my following distance and let off the gas instead of hopping on the brakes right away.

People are ******** on the parkway.. Coming back from getting the formula it was pouring while we were on the thruway we could go between 50-60 as soon as we made it to the parkway 15mph if that.. Same amount of rain.

I got stuck in that crap around 4:00 pm near exit 142 going south and spent the next HOUR and a HALF to get down to exit 135. WTF is it, that when it RAINS or gets DARK (it's called nightime) asholes on these highways cannot figure out how to drive:-x. Yes, it was raining hard on and off all day long (I was in Conn.) but somehow I made it back to work without destroying my vehicle.

yeah ed thats crazy...same here i got to exit 152 or something at 4 and waited a pretty long time to get down there.
my best assumption would be it was downpouring and people couldnt see to far ahead of them so they would stop in the middle of the roadway while the person behind them wouldnt. there were no major injuries so im going to assume they were all at low speeds
