I will go watch, but I feel it will become the U.S. GP at Las Vegas. Great race, different style circuit then the usuals, but there will be low attendance, which will be it's demise.

There has been on and off talk for a while about them running a street circuit in the greater Hoboken area. I haven't heard anything about it in a few months, but maybe they have worked out some of the logistics.

From what I've heard a Northern NJ GP (called the NY GP) will probably never happen. For two reasons 1) The host city has to pay Bernie/F1 the equivalent of $40 million USD (Monaco is the only city exempt from this fee) 2) All proposed circuit locations are situated in high residential areas.
I'd love to see a NJ/NY circuit.....but sadly i doubt it will ever happen.
they announced in racer magazine yesterday that it is very likely to be adjacent to the canadian gp in 2013, in weehawkin on the banks of the hudson....
i am leaning heavily towards buying tickets to the austin gp next year

I went to a CART race at the Meadowlands when I was younger. Was a good time.
I'd go to an F1 race in the NYC area without question.

Same here...would love to be able to see them race, especially at a north jersey street circuit.

supposed to announce it tomorrow, this is going to be awesome, now I dont have to decide whether to go see f1 or the aussie v8's in 2013, i can financially do both with a race here

my dad build a kart for my bro when he was my age. its more of a dune buggy(trailer wheels/tires are used as its wheels) powered by an old atv motor. and it now resides in our storage trailer because the motor is shot, and we have nothing to power it with.

Did you read the article? It's all about money and power struggles (and likely them being pissed about the NJ race).

No left turns in this race, Jersey Jughandles instead?
NJSP pulling cars over on-course?
Toll Plazas in the straightaways? (EZ-Pass fuggaddaboudit)
Only one hand signal...and we know what finger that is.
Gotta have that unique Jersey flavor of course...

New Jersey Grand Prix Postponed Indefinitely ......
Tru2Chevy
10-23-2012, 05:11 PM
I haven't seen anything about an indefinite postponement, everything I've read says they are just pushing back to 2014 because the organizers here didn't account for all the details involved in planning and have run out of time to get it done for 2013.
