Since when do they run filters on there to decide whether or not to allow an ad to show up. It's impossible to put any info in the ads now, and if you choose to be honest in a car ad, like mine, and have everthing about the car they don't allow you to post it.....sorry just pissed off that its impossible to post anything anymore.

Craigslist has been running filters for newly posted ads. From what I have been reading on the help forums if certain words get caught in the filter or you have a long post they deem it suspicious and it will appear in your account as active, but you nor anyone else can see the actual ad when searched for.

That explains a lot. I noticed that while I was browsing CL for stand up jet skis last week and there was only pictures and a price for most things.

Wow that is real lame.

Honestly what do you expect from a service that has been abused so hard for so long.

Lol I'm not surprised that CL did that finally, but at the same time like craigslist's other security measures, the scanning for suspicious posts is probably ridiculous... You'll probably get flagged for putting "fritos" and "onions" in the samepost...

Only way to avoid is not replying back(by email). Put "Replies by phone only if you send me your phone # " in the AD.
